سیدّنا حَضرت ایلیاہ { الیاس } علیہ الاسلام [ ۷۰۰ تا ۵۰۰ ق م ] بنی اسرائیل کے ایک نبی تھے۔ قُرانِ پاک میں آپکا ذِکر سُورۃ ا لصافات کی ۱۲۳ تا ۱۳۲ آیات میں ہے۔ بائبل مُقَدّس میں سلاطین کی دُونوں کتابوں میں مُفَصّل بیان ہے۔ عِبرانی زُبان میں اس کا مطلب ہے :۔ یَہو واہ خُدا ہے :۔ آپ نے بیوہ کے لڑکے کو زِندہ کیا۔ قحط کی پیشین گوئی کی اور بعل کے پُجاریوں سے مُقابلہ کیا۔ بحُکمِ خُدا آپ نے حزائیل کو ارام کا اور یاہُو کو اسرائیل کا بادشاہ اور الیشع کو نبی ہونے کے لئے مَسح کیا۔ اخ اب اور ایزبل پر لعنت کی ۔ اخزیا ہ کو اُس کی موت کے بارے میں آگاہ کیا ۔ آخر کار بگولے میں آسمان پر اُٹھا لیا گیا۔ پہاڑ پر یسُوع اَ لمسیح کی تبدیلیء صُورت کے موقع پر ایلیاہ بھی مَوجُود تھا۔ حَضرت یَحیی۱ { یُوحَنا اِصطباغی } میں ایلیاہ کی رُوح بھیجی گئی تھی۔
