حَضرتِ مُوسی۱ علیہ الاسلام ، خُدا تعالے۱ بنی اِسرائیل قوم کو فرعُون کی غُلامی سے آزاد کرانے والے اور شریعتِ اِلہہی پُہنچانے والے نبی ہیں ۔ آپ ۱۵۲۰ ق م میں اِسرائیلی گھرانے میں مِصر میں پیدا ہُوئے۔ قُرانِ پاک کی سُورۃ اَلقصص ، سُورۃ ،طَہَ ، اور سُورۃ اَلاعراف میں آپ کا ذِکر زیادہ تفصیل سے بیان کیا گیا ہے۔ آپ کا لقب ، کلیم اُللّہ ، { خُدا تعالے۱ سے براہِ راست ، رُو برُو ہمکلام ہونے والا } مشہُور ہے ۔ والد کا نام عمران اور والدہ کا نام یوکابد ہے۔ نِسب نامہ حضرتِ یعقُوب علیہ الاسلام سے جا ملتا ہے۔ بیوی کا نام صفُورہ تھا۔ بائیبل مُقَدّس میں پیدائیش اور خرُوج کی کتابوں میں آپکا ذِکر تفصیل سے ہے۔ خُدا تعالے۱ نی آپکے بھائی ھارُون کو آپکا مددگار بنا کر بنی اِسرائیل { چھےلاکھ کے قریب }کو فرعُون کی غُلامی سے نجات دلائی اور اُن کے لئے شریعت عطا کی۔ بائیبل مُقدّس کی پہلی پانچ کِتابیں { توریت/تُوراۃ } آپکی تصنیف تسلیم کیجاتی ہیں۔ آپ نے ۱۴۰۰ ق م میں کوہِ عباریم پر ۱۲۰ برس کی عُمر میں وفات پائی۔
